“Fraudonomics”: Cartooning against Structural Adjustment in Togo

Abstract This article offers a sensitive reading of oppositional political cartoons in Togo the early 1990s, during period structural adjustment, which was accompanied by swift reversal democratizing trends and restoration authoritarian rule.
